Being such a small room, we only needed 3 sheets so it worked out quite well (and cheap!)
We used a jointing tape to cover the expansion gaps and fitted with some nice countersink screws for a flat surface.
Next we began to lay the porcelain floor tiles. They are a slate effect with non slip coating. Hefty buggers to cut but look really nice and durable on the floor.
We decided to use 5mm spacers and black grout for the floor tiles and 3mm and white grout for the much smaller white wall tiles.
Once the floor had set, we needed to work out the new PVC pipework for the shower and basin waste. It proved to be a bit of a challenge making sure we got the correct fall on the pipes but after a couple of trips to B&Q for some connectors we managed to work it out!
With that all sorted we battened for the wall tiles and got to work:
At this point we decided to set the quadrant shower tray in it's provisional place to get the right level, silicon it in and tile up to it.
We then installed the new Heated tower rail on it's newly positioned pipe work and completed the boxing in around the pipe in the corner.
Once we had grouted, it was time to get some of the bathroom suite into place!
New shower bar:
New Vanity unit and Basin:
New wall cabinet:
Here is a shot of the ceiling painted with the lights in place:
There is still some boxing in around the pipework to do, but I am very pleased with the results so far!
