We had to reroute and chase into the wall a hot water feed for the shower bar
Move over and renew existing pipework to the heated towel rail so that the pipework fitted the new unit and didn't sit over the doorframe.
Renew pipe work up to the basin
Add turn off valves where needed for easy maintenance.
We chased the pipes into the wall, using a new hot water feed and extending the existing cold water feed that went into the old electric shower unit.
Speaking of the old electric shower unit. My dad had the genius idea of using the power supply switch (located in the master bedroom on the other side of the wall) to power a new strip light in the loft which we later installed.
Here he is wiring up the switch with the cable we ran through the ceiling into the loft.
Once the pipes into the wall were finished, we concentrated on the pipework for the towel rail under the floorboards. This proved to be a bit fiddly, but we managed to re-position the pipework to fit the dimensions of the new rail.
Once the main bits under the floor were done, we put down a couple of new bits of floorboard to replace some rotten stuff, worked on the cold water feed to the toilet and had a good clean up.
Up next, plastering!
